Frequently asked questions
Got Questions?
YES Lab is a 12-week entrepreneurship incubator where young innovators (ages 13–24) run real experiments: building MVPs, setting up Stripe accounts, and pitching to investors.
Yes. The Lab is COPPA-compliant and requires parental consent for participants under 18. Communication happens on monitored platforms (Discord/Zoom), with Senior Researchers guiding pods.
Your young researcher should plan on 3–5 hours per week across live sessions, pod check-ins, and independent tasks.
Confirmation email to both youth + parent
Consent form for participants under 18
Onboarding with platform walkthroughs and pre-Lab orientation
Kickoff → guided by a Senior Researcher
By the end of 12 weeks, participants will have:
- Launched a minimum viable product (MVP)
- Opened a Stripe account and processed their first transaction
- Created an investor-ready pitch deck
- Gained experience presenting at Demo Day
Instead of lectures, participants learn by doing. They run experiments, track progress with live dashboards, and earn real revenue.
Yes! Anyone can join our open Discord community for free. You’ll get access to announcements, resources, and can team up with other researchers to experiment together.
Paid participants get the full Lab experience: official pod placement, weekly live Zoom sessions with a Senior Researcher, structured guidance, and direct mentorship outside of Discord. Free participants do not get access to pods or direct coaching.
Impact is tracked on live dashboards tied to actual outcomes like:
Number of MVPs launched
Stripe transactions processed
Pitch decks created and presented
This data is available in Impact Reports and sponsor dashboards for accountability and storytelling.
Nope! Many join with just curiosity. If you already have an idea, we’ll help refine it. If not, the Lab will guide you through brainstorming and experiments until you find one.
Instead of tuition going to overhead, sponsors help fund PPTs, which give participants shared equity in their learning and ventures. This model ensures alignment between learner success and institutional sustainability. This pilot will not have PPTs.
